Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! As usual, I will be hosting this traditional dinner and I say that with a smile on my face! I enjoy cooking and helping others so this is right up my alley. Family times that day. One of my highlights is the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade! LOVE it! Watch it every year...it's a rule in my house.

Ok, here's your Turkey Day trivia taken from Wikipedia" The cornucopia (Latin: Cornu Copiae) is a symbol of food and abundance dating back to the 5th century BC, also referred to as the food of worship and holiness, Horn of Amalthea, harvest cone, and horn of plenty.

 In modern depictions, the cornucopia is typically a hollow, horn-shaped wicker basket filled with various kinds of festive fruit and vegetables. In North America, the cornucopia has come to be associated with Thanksgiving and the harvest.

Did you also know that Two cornucopias are seen in the flag and state seal of Idaho.

ABC SHOW October 2010 Las Vegas!

Well, I am no longer a "newbie" to the ABC Kids Expo as of last month! This tradeshow was an awesome experience with fabulous contacts that I would not have had otherwise.

MOMMA EDISON's booth,4324, was organized & professional as was I. :)  I shared a booth with Marili-Jean Accessories.

We attended the Bowzer (former Sha Na Na member) 50's Exhibitor's Reception Hop together. Laurie & I got along smoothly. I could not have asked for a better booth mate. I took video of Bowzer's infamous closing of his show below. Bye Bye Bowzer - awsome job you performed!

It was a great experience, alot of fun and I am looking forward to 2011 in Louisville, KY.

While in Las Vegas I was able to see my brother, John, who lives there. He helped me setup which was a HUGE help!

  

Although, I worked my booth alone during those 5 days, I did meetup with John in the evenings when possible. We did the tourist thing: Bellagio: gardens, chocolatier and fountain show,Vegas buffet, hiking, various restaurants, cruising the strip, hanging out almost every evening. This visit, I never got to see a show since our taste in Vegas shows are very different. Also, since his birthday is 10/18 the following week, we celebrated his birthday early during my last night in Vegas.

I also went and visited Valley of Fire outside of LasVegas. This was my 2nd visit to Nevada's first state park. I love this park with the petroglyphs, rock formations, colors, scenery, etc. I highly recommend a visit to Valley of Fire. I took a Pink Jeep tour which is a smaller more intimate tour. I had 5 tourist plus a driver/guide it was perfect. No rushing, lots of picture taking, getting to know everyone instead of those large tour buses with 50 -60 people and stopping for 5-10 minutes then moving on. Pink Jeep lingered & let us browse, gave us a full lunch, stopped for 20-30 minutes at a time or more for sightseeing - HIGHLY recommend PINK JEEP TOURS when in Las Vegas (they are also in Sedona, AZ).

Overall Vegas was a SUCCESS!

Convention, Stores, a Surprise....Oh, My! ;)

First off, a BIG THANK YOU to my new followers. Although, I have been slacking with my blog; I have a good reason...SUPER BUSY! YES, indeed. It's a good thing otherwise I may go crazy doing nothing at all but who wouldn't, right?

Headed to Vegas within  a week for my Baby Buckle Pad® convention! Still can not believe that I am actually going yet I have been working my butt of for a month or longer in preparation for this huge event.

Yep, booth 4323. Wish me luck, I will need it.

Stores...been working on acheiving this goal lately. A few more interested prospects I hope for them to carry the Baby Buckle Pad®. Slow go in this recession but hey what business isn't. I must be on to something because the feedback has been fabulous from both consumers and retailers. Oh, can not forget those mommy bloggers out there, too: Thank you!

Oh my, what is this surprise that I mentioned? Could it be? No, wait...wanna guess? Don't bother no one tried guessing on my FB page for my product but they were curious - sooo here it is: New design to debut in 2011!!!! Very excited about this. Never thought it would happen so soon. A shoutout to my factory rep on making this come true! Yahooooo! :D

November 6th Momma Edison will  team up with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Tina fey in support of all survivors, patients & those who have passed. We will walk 2 miles for this great cause.
